Moda Blend
A sweet, nutty blend for milk drinks.
- Shines when milk is added
It takes its name from Moda, the neighbourhood where our first café opened. Designed for lattes and cappuccinos: a sweet, nutty character that does not disappear when milk is added. It is made of Brazil, Guatemala and Colombia.
In the cup
Hazelnut, milk chocolate and a little caramel.
Suggested brewing
- For latte: 18 g in, 36 g out, 28 seconds
- Medium grind for moka and French press
Story of the blend
The baristas of the Moda café tried this blend at our first opening, looking for a character that does not disappear in milk drinks. After forty trials the current ratio was found. It is still the Moda café's house coffee.
Pairing
It suits croissants, cheesecake and hazelnut desserts.
For milk drinks start with 18 grams in and about 36 grams out; keep the milk temperature under 60–62 °C, otherwise it loses sweetness.
